Reimagining Wedgwood: 2016

This project was based on the sense of pride within a home. 

Wedgewood is a british ceramics company who embodies pride in meticulously hand crafted ceramics; often used as ornaments.

Taking inspiration from the Jasperware range, my collection of slipcast semi porcelain vessels are glazed with a matt blue. 

However, my pieces are photographed in a scenario of change, in the pursuit of pride in the home once more. This is based on the consummerist nature which encourages gradual restlessness or dissatisfaction and fuels the need for gratification from new commoditites.
